This week we have been learning about DASH? paragraphs for adventure stories.
- D = describe the setting
- A = use action
- S = use speech
- H = describe how the character is feeling
- ? = use a cliffhanger or rhetorical question
We wrote collaboratively and used a writing frame for this learning task, then we wrote our own paragraphs today.
As John and Sienna quickly ran into the depths of the forest, they could see hundreds of dark gloomy trees surrounding an abandoned house. Suddenly there was a horrifying shriek that filled the air. John reached out for Sienna's hand… but she was gone! John stood terrified with his heart pounding. A look of scaredness filled his face. “Where is she now?” John wondered, terrified.
